As of 2011 nearly 400 relaxation drinks were on the market driven by almost 70% annual growth over the past five years. Dream water CEO, a leader in the space, believes that start-ups will take the necessary risk while big beverage firms watch from the sideline. “I think it’s incumbent upon people like us to create the category and define the category.” But the ability to satisfy that demand could be slowed by the usual roadblocks associates with increased scrutiny of ingredients and marketing tactics.
